full moon, july

By the sight of its ice blue
light, you might think the moon
cold. But it is hoarding sun

tonight until it is all
fire. Tomorrow it will
storm down, a second

after the first sun rises, one
hot day on top of another, no time
between for the lake to make the city cool.
